making the effort and the difference established 1966

Mid-Gulf Shipping Inc maintains a fully staffed Regulatory Compliance Department which responds to carrier’s requirements for AMS Filings, APIS (air) and E/NOA-D on a 24/7 basis.  Service is designed for quick response and total compliance.

AMS Services

1)         Comprehensive Information Exchange Systems

Mid-Gulf comprehensive system of notice requirements are designed to overcome potential communication errors before they impact the vessel trade in the form of delays and non-compliance.

2)         Flexible Reporting Systems

AMS Reporting Form (Excel based spreadsheets) designed to be customized to client specific requirements.

3)         Backup Systems

AMS service systems are supported with phone and IT back up as well as redundant servers located in our New Orleans, La. and Mobile, Al. offices, to ensure continued service.

4)         Permit To Transfer entry (Free Trade Zone Entry)

This new CBP (Customs) requirement impacts merchandise that will be discharged into a Free Trade Zone and now require the AMS portal to manage the entry.

5)         Comprehensive Post-Audit Process

Our Post-Audit process includes following up with agents of record and customs brokers to verify within AMS  that cargo entries are properly processed and match what has been manifested as well as verification of outturn (shore) figures for Manifest Discrepancy Reports (when necessary).  In short, every file is self audited to sufficiently pass a U.S. Customs and Border Protection audit.

(eNOA/D Reporting)

Beginning on June 06, 2005 (Mandatory Start Date), USCG/CBP now requires all vessels to submit their usual USCG information plus additional crew information (on behalf of CBP) to their e/NOA/D (Electronic Notice of Arrival/Departure) website.

1)         eNOA/D Reporting Rules and Regulations

“For passenger and crew member manifests, one of the following three alternative rules will be applied, depending on the length of the voyage: (i) At least 96 hours before entering the port or place of destination for voyages of 96 hours or more; (ii) at least 24 hours before entering the port or place of destination, for voyages of less than 24 hours; or (iii) prior to departing the port or place of departure, for voyages between 24 and 96 hours.”

2)         eNOA/D Entry Procedures and Benefits

Vessels are provided a comprehensive template for all required data fields mandated in the eNOA/D reporting.  The completed data sheets are then entered into the electronic data base for verification and transmission.  Confirmations on all levels of process are exchanged between US Coast Guard and MID-GULF SHIPPING INC to ensure acceptance of the entry and processing for vessel’s timely entry into port.
