in 1966 by Captain Peder S. Toft, providing quality vessel agency services to
select clients. Maintaining our
traditional agency qualities, today Mid-Gulf Shipping Co. Inc. provides Gulf
Wide integrated service packages specifically designed to meet the needs of our
valued clients in a constantly changing Maritime Industry.
In 2003, anticipating the impact U.S. Government Regulatory changes to our Maritime Industry, Mid-Gulf Shipping Co. Inc. substantially restructured our services in preparation for the changes on the horizon. Today, Mid-Gulf provides “single point of contact” service coordinating 5 specialized departments to facilitate vessel, cargo, spares and personnel movements quickly and within strict compliance of US Law. (Vessel Agency, Offshore Logistics, AMS, Import/Export, Freight Forwarding, Bonded Transportation & Warehousing)
In 2006, Mid-Gulf Shipping Inc successfully
merged Operations and Project Accounting by introducing “OSILAS” Off-Shore
Integrated Logistics Automation System.
Designed on an ORACLE platform, OSILAS provides complete Project
Logistics, Accounting and Purchase Order processing
from service request to final billing.
OSILAS has been quickly embraced by 3 major
offshore construction operators. The
next release of the software will include a multiple location inventory tracking
system with live on line access for clients.
